Focus Areas and Specializations

I am a person-centered therapist, and I utilize numerous different modalities and theoretical approaches. I am extensively trained in motivational interviewing, as well as CBT, DBT, ERP and mindfulness.

OCD and Phobias

If your fears or rituals feel like they’re running your life, I want you to know that there’s hope. The constant rumination can feel exhausting. Maybe people don’t even realize that what they are dealing with is OCD. It’s often misdiagnosed and mistreated. There are different types of OCD including Pure O which doesn’t have any physical compulsions. It’s ways to miss. Together we can help to ease the grip these symptoms have on you and help you to feel free. So that you are in control, not your OCD.

Anxiety, Stress, and Panic

Living in constant worry or being hit by panic out of nowhere can be so overwhelming. In the world today there are triggers everywhere. You are not alone. Stress and anxiety is at an all-time high. I’m here to help you find calm, understand what’s happening, and learn ways to steady yourself.

Depression

When everything feels heavy and it’s hard to get through the day, I’ll sit with you in that space. We will look for light, hope, and find ways for you to feel like yourself again. It’s one step at a time. When you’re depressed, even just getting out of bed can feel impossible. Let’s not put too much on your plate to start.

Mood Disorders

If your moods shift in ways that feel out of your control, it can leave you drained and frustrated. You might feel like you’re overwhelmed or maybe quick to anger. Therapy will help you in making sense of those changes and feeling more regulated.

End of Life

Facing the end of life—your own or a loved one’s—brings so many emotions. At some point we are all at this point. When no one talks about death, it can be hard to find support. But you don’t have to go through it alone. Therapy offers that space for you to process your grief.

Prenatal and Postpartum

Pregnancy and new parenthood can feel overwhelming, and it’s okay if it’s not all joy. You might be afraid to even say it out loud. But the truth is, it’s hard for everyone. People don’t show how difficult this all is and so you can feel alone in it.  I’m here to listen, support you, and remind you that you don’t have to do this by yourself.

Life Transitions

Change can stir up uncertainty, even when it’s a positive change. I’ll help you navigate these shifts so you can move forward with more confidence and clarity.

Couples Counseling

If your relationship feels stuck or strained, I’ll help create a safe space for both of you to be heard. Together, we’ll work on building trust, connection, and understanding. Whether it’s premarital, marital, or anything in between. Sometimes you just need that neutral third party to help you hear each other better.

Parenting and Family Counseling

Parenting and family life can be messy and challenging. I’ll work with you to strengthen communication, ease tension, and help your family feel more connected. When you become a parent, unfortunately no one hands you a rule book. As a parent myself, I know how difficult it is. I’m here to help you navigate.

Children’s Play Therapy

Often kids don’t have the words to explain how they feel. Through play, children express themselves, process big emotions, and build healthy coping skills.

LGBTQ+ and Gender Dysphoria

I am an ally. Exploring identity or struggling to feel accepted can be really hard. I’ll hold a safe, affirming space for you to explore who you are and embrace yourself fully.

Conduct Disorders

Challenging behaviors are tough—not just for a child, but for the whole family. I’ll help uncover what’s driving those behaviors and work with you toward healthier patterns.

Trauma

Trauma leaves marks that aren’t always visible, but they’re deeply felt. It may be coming out in other ways such as dissociation. You may not even realize how much you were impacted by something. In our work together, you’ll have a safe place to process, heal, and reclaim your sense of self.
